![]() Try to win at least second in the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza in Booty Bay while preparing for the Dread Pirate Ring. Fastest way to get everything is definitely farming a combination of these currencies. ![]() Totals for extra currency needed if using weapon/trinket pieces or specs not suggested are in the Overall Extra Gear section. If planning to get the weapons and trinkets look in Individual Piece Costs for the currency needed for each item, and in each Class Extras Section for the specific items to get. This guide Heirloom List by Xabidar is useful in listing all heirlooms. You can start with this quest, Alliance Mystery Notebook, and Horde Mystery Notebook. You win 1-5 each day for your first Random Heroic Dungeon. Each level 100 you have can earn a 1-90 armor,a 1-90 weapon, a 1-100 armor, and lastly a 1-100 weapon upgrade through a small quest line where you farm Misprinted Draenic Coins for the new Heirloom Curators (in List of Vendors). The level 1-100 upgrade items are Timeworn Heirloom Armor Casing and Timeworn Heirloom Scabbard. The level 1-90 upgrade items are Ancient Heirloom Armor Casing and Ancient Heirloom Scabbard. This automatically upgrades your collection and the heirloom if it is being worn, so it won't lose enchants or transmog. To use them you click on the upgrade item, and then you click on the item in your collections tab to upgrade. Upgrades The upgrade items are to upgrade heirlooms to level 1-90 first, and then you can upgrade level 1-90 items to level 1-100 items. You need a grand total (no discounts) of, plus some combo of, 0 Honor Points (only shoulders available), 0 Champion's Seal Champion's Seals (farmable in 12 days on one toon with all dailies unlocked), or 0 Darkmoon Prize Ticket Darkmoon Faire Tickets for all level 1-60 experience gaining heirlooms needed in this guide. The new Heirloom vendors are in Ironforge and Undercity selling for gold. If you just want to buy what you need with your surplus of gold (I never do) then you can ignore farming rep. There are a lot of Heirlooms so I suggest becoming exalted with the Sha'tar, as the Shattrath Guild Vendor is the only Guild Vendor with a faction discount. ![]() If a character gains armor specialization at level 40 then that specialization heirloom can be worn below level 40, it will just change down to mail or leather until level 40. You can create an heirloom for that character by right clicking the item in the collections tab. Once you own an heirloom all your characters can use it. They are in your collections tab in game. Heirloom Basics Heirlooms provide experience boosts and level up with the character. The rest of the guide focuses on not having that friend. If farming this gear is more time consuming/too expensive to you than leveling without this stuff, then play on, but a few tips might help you grab some pieces without taking too much of your time. Refer-A-Friend (let me know if this link ever dies) is the fastest way to level up alts by playing with who you referred without paying money. Although you do get one level 90 boost purchasing the Warlords of Draenor expansion, and a level 100 boost with Legion. Preparation Basic Boosts Buying level 90/100 boosts is now the fastest way to level up, but it's expensive (for most of us). ![]() I'm hoping that this guide helps to collect herilooms in a timely manner so that their collection does not take more time than to level without them.
